A superstar of African music, Fally Ipupa is critically acclaimed as a boundary-breaking giant, with his pioneering fusion of Congolese music fused with genres spanning rumba, soukous, R&B and urban pop. In 2023, Ipupa became the first Francophone artist to perform at Wembley Arena. Today, the international colossus announces he’ll be returning to British shores to perform the biggest Francophone show that the UK has ever seen, at London’s The O2 on Sunday, 25th October.
The first ever Congolese solo artist to go Platinum, and the first to ever sell out Olympia Hall, Paris, Fally Ipupa, is also the most streamed African artist on Boomplay, and the most followed Congolese artist on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Ipupa released his new album “XX” last month on Warner Music France, featuring the single ‘Jam’ alongside Nigerian superstar Wizkid. The project also includes previous single “Cinéma” and collaborations with Guy2Bezbar, Joé Dwèt Filé, Calema, Angélique Kidjo, Keblack, SDM and Lokua Kanza.
Ipupa is also known for his humanitarian work: he is the founder of the Fally Ipupa Foundation, which provides aid to marginalized groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including victims of sexual violence and disease, as well as orphans.
